Get to Know Your Building Staff

The size and variety of your building staff depends on what type of building you are living in. However you should know that in most PostGrad buildings, there is more than just your doorman. Here's a guide to who is who is your building:

Doorman - The doorman is responsible for supervising the lobby and making sure that everything in the building is alright. In some buildings, they open the doors for tenants. In other buildings they serve as more of a concierge.

Super - The super maintains and repairs the buildings before and after problems arise. IN larger buildings they supervise handymen and porters. However in smaller building they're directly responsible for fixing any problems that you may have.

Porter/Handyman - These people are on-call janitors/handymen who help the super complete his tasks. In larger buildings, they're the ones who will come to your apartment to fix small problems like clogged toilets or leaks.
